Micropenis as a complication of labiaplasty

I’m going to tell you about one of my patients who flew all the way from the UK, seeking help after a failed labioplasty she underwent six months earlier elsewhere. Micropenis after labioplasty - what is it?

I was lucky enough to be given the chance to help with a case that was really quite challenging for me on both a medical and an emotional level. My patient came to me with a lot on her mind. Not only was she dealing with physical discomfort, but she was also struggling with the psychological effects of a failed labioplasty surgery she had undergone six months earlier. That surgery didn’t go as she’d hoped. It made things worse, leaving her with an unsightly scar on her clitoral foreskin and a visible deformity of her labia. In the standing position, the smaller lips were hidden behind the larger lips, while the foreskin and clitoris protruded in a manner resembling a “micropenis,” which caused considerable discomfort and deviated from the natural appearance.

I knew that a secondary labioplasty with clitoral foreskin plication was the best thing for her. The procedure required not only surgical precision, but also a certain amount of artistic flair to restore the natural, harmonious appearance of this intimate body part. The most important thing was to move the clitoral foreskin so that it was below the labia minora. This helped to get everything back to normal. We also made sure to fix the asymmetry of the labia minora, which was really important for making everything look nice and symmetrical.

In the photos I’m attaching, you can see the effects right after the operation. The patient, despite the natural swelling, expressed great relief and satisfaction with the results. We expect that within two weeks the swelling will completely subside, and she will be able to fully enjoy her new, improved appearance.
